Box Office Breakdown: January 6, 2013

For the fourth day of 2013 Django Unchained is the #1 movie at the box office. Sunday usually brings smaller crowds to the theaters. Django Unchained mustered up $5.4 million dollars to grab the top spot. The Hobbit found it's self back in the second position after a $4.7 million dollar haul. Les Miserable(2012) is also once again back in the third position with a $4.1 million dollar haul.
The only new major release this weekend has fallen off sharply since Friday. Texas Chainsaw fell to fourth on Sunday with a haul of $3.1 million. Parental Guidance and Jack Reacher have kept there battle up all weekend long. Parental won the day with a $2.29 million day compared to $2.21 million for Reacher.
This is 40 held on to the seventh slot with $1.9 millions dollars made while Lincoln made $1.4 on the day. Monsters,Inc (3D) jumped backed into the top ten in ninth place with a $1.1 million dollar day. The Guilt Trip was tenth with one million dollars even earned.
