Avatar nears 500 million mark

Avatar won the box office race again with a haul of 42 million dollars bringing the movie's total to 493 million dollars in the U.S. alone.
New Movies The Book of Eli and The Spy Next Door finished 2nd and sixth respectively bringing in 32 million and 9 million in their first week.
The Lovely Bones which expanded this week was the number three movie bringing in 17 million.
Alvin and the Chimpmunks and Sherlock Holmes are both coming close to the 200 million dollar mark after four weeks in release.
